• Rate: $40 - $45 per hour + super

The Opportunity

Randstad is seeking an experienced and dedicated APS4 Communications Officer to support a key campaign within a Federal Government department. You will be instrumental in the development and delivery of the third phase of a significant public awareness campaign.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong administrative and communication skills to apply their knowledge of the government campaign process in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Drafting, reviewing, and editing communication materials across various channels, ensuring proficiency in plain English and adherence to government style.
• Maintaining the consistency and accuracy of all communication materials, guaranteeing they align with overall campaign objectives.
• Applying knowledge of the government campaign process to support campaign development, utilising strong organisational skills, time management, and accountability.
• Supporting the administration of the campaign, which includes coordinating the publishing of materials, assisting with procurement processes, and maintaining budget and campaign files.
• Assisting in stakeholder management, which involves professional communication with suppliers and participating in relevant meetings.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Relevant experience and/or qualifications in a communications role.
• Proven good written and verbal communication skills, including a capacity for proofreading, plain English writing, and using government style.
• A solid understanding of the government campaign process.
• Demonstrated organisational skills and capacity or experience in supporting the administration of communication campaigns.
• The ability to form collaborative working relationships within a small team and with both internal and external stakeholders.
